Terms of Service

Hired is a hiring platform that connects companies ("Businesses") with candidates ("Job Seekers"). We are not a recruitment agency. We provide tools to search, contact, and apply. We do not act as an intermediary or guarantor in any employment relationship.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. You may have separate Business and Job Seeker accounts using the same email address; each surface is treated as a distinct account with distinct entitlements.

Job Seekers may create a profile, upload resumes, search for roles, contact hiring managers, and purchase credit packs to use platform features. You retain ownership of the content you upload; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it to Businesses who unlock searches matching your profile.

Businesses may purchase a Role Unlock (R997 per role) which grants 30 days of access to candidates matching the role search. Contact details revealed under a Role Unlock are for the purpose of evaluating and contacting the candidate for that role only.

You agree not to:

• scrape, resell, or republish candidate data obtained through the platform;
• use candidate contact details for any purpose other than direct recruitment for the role unlocked;
• create fake accounts, impersonate any person, or misrepresent your affiliation with a company;
• send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or content that violates applicable law.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Role Unlocks and credit packs are once-off purchases. There are no recurring subscriptions. See our Refund Policy for details on refund eligibility.

You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, including but not limited to scraping, harassment, or fraud. Termination does not refund unused entitlements unless required by law or our Refund Policy.

Hired is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any hire, response, or outcome from using the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Western Cape.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
